This course is designed to work through the state standards for General Horticulture and Plant Science by working in our school greenhouse. Students will be planting and transplanting around 7,000 seedlings and performing all maintenance throughout the semester leading up to a community plant sale in April. After the plant sale students will continue working in the greenhouse and lab to design containers for Honors Day and Graduation. 

Standards for this course include plant identification, greenhouse maintenance, fertilizer content and application ratios, pest management, essential nutrients for plants, and general plant health and growth requirements.
